Guatemalan Molletes

Ingredients:

•8 sweet breads

•4 eggs

•500 grams of sugar

•1 liter of water

•2 cinnamon sticks

•1 teaspoon of liquid vanilla

Preparation

1. Toast the sweet breads in the oven so they don't fall apart when placed in the honey.

2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat them until stiff. Then, roll the bread in the egg and fry them in oil. When all the breads are finished, place them in a colander and drizzle with boiling water to remove all the fat. Let them drain.

3. To prepare the honey, place the water, sugar, and two cinnamon sticks in a pot. Bring to a boil. You can use either sugar or panela to make the honey.

4. Finally, place the toast in the honey and let it boil.

5. To serve, place the French toast on a deep plate and drizzle with honey, to the consumer's taste.

Chamomile in Honey

Ingredients:

•3 dozen chamomile flowers

•1 cup sugar

•2 cups water

•1 cinnamon stick

•5 allspices

•teaspoon of liquid white vanilla

Preparation

1. Bring the chamomile to a boil with water until it covers the mixture. Drain it afterward.

2. Prepare honey with water, sugar, cinnamon stick and allspice.

3. Cook over medium heat and add the chamomile.

4. The sweetness will be ready when the chamomile has absorbed the honey well.
